I have been seeing designers, models and celebrities randomly sporting these round-shaped sunglasses everywhere. Now, there are a few designers releasing this sunglass shape as their main one for this spring.

Here a model is seen walking at the Erdem Spring 2010 ready-to-wear show.

Erdem sunglasses come in tortoise, black lace, black, a neutral tone, and this customized Kyoto print inspired by a Japanese fisherwoman dressed in brightly printed shorts and charging across black water. The sunglasses sell for $290

The style was also seen at Marios Schwabs' spring fashion show with an additional stainless steel look, seems to go with the military chic trend going on now too

All of Victoria Beckham's Spring 2010 ready-to-wear models were sporting the sunglasses too, I'm guessing we'll see the fashionista wearing them very soon too!

Here's a picture of trend-setter Mary-Kate Olsen wearing the style as well

John Lennon sunglasses

So maybe it's not the most flattering sunglass shape but I spy a trend....get on it!!

Enjoying my new magenta skull candles I got on sale at Urban Outfitters! So cute

I wore bright pink lips and this sparkly shirt for my valentine's date last night!

alentine's Day is coming and there are a few things I scoped out that you can wear on Valentine's and things to get from your sweetheart and some things to give. So first...

Need a sexy Valentine's date night dress?

Try this flirty dress from Forever21 for $25, love the big bow on the front!

I really like this red dress...totally goes with the new tattoo trend!

Ruffles are the thing to wear right now, this dress from Nordstrom is so pink and frilly for $40!

This pink one is only $17!

What about for under the dress?

This underwear with the big heart on the back from Victoria's Secret is so cute and flirty. Victoria's Secret also has tons of yummy scents and gifts, check them out here

Hanky Panky's are the best underwear to wear just everyday, treat yourself to a new pair for Valentine's Day!

This lingerie set is so feminine, subtle and comfortable looking!

Here are six fun little Valentine's Day gifts for under $50-

Get some 'Kiss Me' lips by Philosophy for $20

GapBody always has some kind of cute Valentine's Day pajamas. Here's a pair of heart-printed bottoms

MAC makeup has soo many bright shades of lipstick...perfect for Valentine's Day for $14

Michael Buble is perfect for any time of romance...love him and his cd!

10,000 Ways to Say I Love You book for $12

Pablo Neruda is my favorite love poet...this book has all of his poems in Spanish and then translated to English. They are so beautiful and such a small romantic gift to get for someone you love, so romantic
What to get for your signifigant other?

ALWAYS get a card! It's the smallest thing to get but it really lets a person know you cared enough to pick out something special to say, especially if it has a note in it (big or small, doesn't matter!). Another small gift to give is a frame of you and your loved one, something they can bring to work or put on their night table, they'll be reminded of your love all the time!
If you do like to buy a little something for your Valentine (though I always think it's the man's job to do the gift-giving...woops!) I found a few things...

An 'All About Us' book is cute...maybe just a little cheesy, but it IS Valentine's Day!

I think Burberry boxers are a nice gift to give any guy, they'll appreciate the designer underwear!

Everyone enjoys going to the movies. Get your sweetie a gift certificate to go, it includes free popcorn and drinks. You could even use it on Valentine's Day!

Hopefully this gave you some helpful ideas for your Valentine's Day shopping/creations! XO

A fabulous designer, Alexander McQueen, has left us this week. A designer I think went beyond genius creativity and had an eye for design. It is sad to find out that he took his own life, although the reason is unknown. His mother died last week which could be related and most likely is. Lee, as his friends called him, won the British Fashion Awards' British Designer of the Year 4 times, the Men's Wear Designer award in 2004, and the CFDA Award for Best International Designer. He was a designer who knew he was good and that he had talent, making him an intimidating man to many. His talent however is indefinite and really changed the creativity and theatricality of the fashion world.

"McQueen’s vision was certainly dark—the photographs of Joel-Peter Witkin, the legend of Jack the Ripper, the horrors of the Salem witch hunts and of antebellum insane asylums were the things that inspired him. He responded to extremes, to sadomasochistic paraphernalia, to the shackling clothes of the Victorians..."

For some reason, my Valentine's Edition of the Frugal Friday 4 under $50 will not post. I will keep attempting to post it...sorry!

Beauty Trend: Shades of Purple
The softest versions of violet have been seen all over the spring/summer runways for 2010. Everywhere from lilac eyes at Dior, lilac eyes and lips at Michael Kors, cloudy eggplant nails at Vena Cava and eyes again at Versace, the color was just all over. It's a pretty but fun color that if done in a light lilac can be worn everyday (any eyeshadow I wear for the day is always a light purple) and at night in a more dramatic way. A subtle way to take part in this trend if you don't feel comfortable doing eyeshadow or lips, is to purchase Givenchy's Phenomen’Eyes Effet Extensionin in Purple Impression, which is a navy/dark-purple colored mascara for $29

Chloë Sevigny rockin' lilac lips!

Beauty News:
The From Our Lips edition of MAC makeup donates all of its proceeds from the limited-edition lipstick sales to the MAC Aids Fund. This year, Cyndi Lauper and Lady Gaga are the newest campaign stars of Viva Glam. Cyndi's featured lipstick has a rose-colored hue to it and Lady Gaga's is a bright bubblegum pink. The lipsticks will be available by the end of March.

(I checked them both out...I like Lady Gaga's better!)

in 2008, Chloé launched their perfume, Eau de Parfum, which smells of roses (I love this perfume) and then next their Eau de Parfum Intense. The first perfume targeted the scent of a rose at midday and the second, the smell of the rose at dusk. The third one, being released this week, is called Eau de Toilette, and smells of roses covered by morning-dew (think freesia and iris).

R.I.P Alexander McQueen. A fabulous designer has left us...

Diva Beyonce Knowles is know the official face of the 'Fashion for Haiti' t-shirt. The shirt was created by Peter Arnel (who also created a shirt after 9/11 that rasied $2 million). The shirt is $25 and benefits the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. Purchase
Lady Gaga has also created a t-shirt that will send all of the proceeds to various organizations giving relief to Haiti for $25. Purchase

Alexander Wang and Rodarte are the next to agree to livestream their fall fashion shows via this website

A woman who frequently dresses Lady Gaga, Katie Gallagher is making a splash on the fashion scene as everyone awaits her pre-fall 2010 collection. Her first full ready-to-wear collection came out this past fall and since then she has come out with one spring line. Gallagher attended Rhode Island School of design and majored in fashion, but only because she was so intrigued by the human body and how it was shaped that she thought fashion design was the how she would perfect her drawing skills. She later worked at threeASFOUR where she focused on pattern-making and construction and then Anna Sui where she noticed how Sui's designs reflected who she was and Gallagher admired and was inspired by that. Gallagher is a designer that finds inspiration through art and the human body. Before she begins a collection she paints a picture that will feature her future color scheme (hint: Fall 2010 will showcase off-whites, grays, and forest greens). After that she sketches inspiring fashion figures which have a Tim Burton creepy-like feel to them, then the hard work begins.
Gallagher's view on fashion is, "I don't believe that fashion is the end goal; stories, personalities, moods, ideals and attitudes are."
Some of her looks have been visible ribcages in bone colors, nude bodysuits, head-to-toe black, and all things that form to the body with a zombie-like look to them all. Here are some of her designs:
