Christian Louboutin and Grameen Foundation
Christian Louboutin has created 'Peace of Shoe' for this holiday season after reading up on the Grameen Foundation which helps women in under-priveleged areas get access to technology and microfinance to help them move out of poverty and have the opportunity to start their own business. 100% of the proceeds go to this foundation and the shoe has a price of $1,495. With only 33 pairs, individually numbered and signed in the world, run out and get yours if you are feeling in a fashionably giving mood!
Missoni & Toywatch
'Toywatch dressed by Missoni' a fun and fashionable collaboration, and just in time for the holiday season! The collection is made up of six limited edition models (only 250 made of each) and are sold in Toywatch and Missoni stores as well as other high-end retailers for $445 a piece. Some are made with just the scarf, others are made with the scarf and leather strap. Which do you like better?
Macy's department stores have teamed up with couture designer Karl Lagerfeld, one of the biggest promoters of collaboration designing, to create their third discount designer capsule collection. Terry J. Lundgren, president of Macy's says, "Karl Lagerfeld holds a unique place in the world of fashion, and icon who is the ultimate modernist. Through the decades, his style and vision have marked the history of design. It is a tremendous honor to bring his inimitable perspective to our fashion customer". The clothing will be available in September 2011.
Louboutin and Selfridge's
More Christian Louboutin. Known for his signature red-soled shoes, he created a yellow-soled black patent-leather pump for London department store, Selfridge's going along with their yellow theme. Known for having the biggest shoe gallery in the world, this is a fabulous edition!
Fab Rumor: Tom Ford for H&M
Tom Ford, a well-known designer who does not approve of overusing marketing techniques, especially in the media, to promote his collection, is making people even more excited that there is a definitive collaboration between Tom Ford and H&M, although there has been no official release on either party's part. Only recently were pictures publicly released of Tom Ford's women's Spring 2011 collection! I will let you know as soon as I find out if this collaboration is going to happen!
Valentino for Gap has sadly sold out after people slept outside the store before the morning opening, but better news is that Lanvin for H&M has not, so get out there before it's too late!
