Why Boys Need Parents

When we were in school, I remember the elder students remarking quite often when youngsters interrupted their conversation " children should be seen and not heard"
I suppose that should be changed to "Children should be watched and not just seen"
Have you ever managed two children, separated by just 14 or fifteen months in age.
The elder one competes for the parents attention which he/she now has to share with her brother/sister when earlier he/she had their undivided attention. This makes them do certain mischiefs which they would not have done if separated by about 5 years.
Some of the actions shown below may also be the result of trying to gain attention.
We should always keep a watchful eye to see that their activities do not harm them or others or cause much damage.
We should always allow them to play within the boundaries set by you.
We should not continuously stop them saying, "Don't do this or don't do that"
It makes them withdraw into a shell and become introverts.
