Summer 2011 jewellery trends have thrown in some unconventional materials, shapes and colours to add to the wide spectrum of jewellery designs that are already available. One of the most popular jewellery trends that are coming up right now is the cuff bracelet especially used as sculptured metal bangles as well as double toned bracelets. The standard material used for these bracelets is gold or silver. Bright coloured jewellery with vibrant colours is also the trend. Colours like orange, green, purple, yellow and pink are all becoming more popular by the day.
Innovative jewellery is slowly making its way and the summer 2011 jewellery trends indicate that not everything about current jewellery is traditional or conventional. Craft is definitely involved as a lot of people also prefer handcrafted jewellery made out of beads, encrusted stones, sea shells and even plastic in some cases.
A bit of environmental responsibility is also creeping in, with people preferring recycled materials too from time to time. Floral jewellery has been largely due to the influence of spring with floral patterns etched on the bangles and floral shapes affixed to dangling earrings. Neck rings, fringe chokers, collar styles and crochet and macramé patterns are all quite popular these days and are likely to be in vogue throughout the greater part of this year in the very least.
Beads and stones typically associated with gypsies of the old are quite popular too. Rich crystals saturated with colours, semi precious stones, layers of different pieces woven into charm necklaces and even asymmetric pieces with a hint of recklessness in their design are part of the fashion trends this summer. Summer 2011 jewellery trends also include subtle colours like silvery shades, grey smoky shades and light pink combining well with earthy tones like brown and green used a lot as well.
