Canon has just unveiled the new PIXMA iP2600 Photo Printer, an affordable photo printer which can print quality photos. The mode features Canon’s Full-Photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) technology which ensures that the microscopic ink droplets are as small as 2 picoliters, thereby not compromising the quality of the portraits. The PIXMA iP2600 Photo Printer can print 4 x 6 photos in 55 seconds. The device has a tray or a paper holder usually absent in printers within the price range and uses only two FINE ink cartridges — black and tri-color dye. It also features the Canon ChromaLife100 system which lets photos resist fading for 100 years, provided they’re stored in optimal conditions. The PIXMA iP2600 will sell for US$49.99.
