NEC announced for the Japanese market a new series of notebook, the NEC LaVie composed of LaVie L, LaVie S, LaVie M and LaVie Light.
The NEC LaVie L laptop can be configured with the latest generation of Intel processors including the Core i7-2620m or Core i5-2410M, or entry-level processors such as Celeron P4600 CPU, and boast features with very advanced 3D display, a Wireless Digital TV Tuner and USB 3.0 ports. Laptops NEC LaVie S instead offer a choice of processors, more modest, with an Intel Core i5-480M, a Core or Pentium 380m i3-P6200, with up to 4 GB RAM, 640 GB hard drives up to blu-ray and optical drive The display of LaVie S is a 15.6-inch 1366 x 768p resolution.
The NEC LaVie M are the smallest of the new notebook series, with 13.3-inch diagonal, the characteristics in each case, despite its small size, are good: resolution 1366 x 768p, DVD optical drive, up to 4 GB of RAM, up to 500 GB hard drive and processor choice between a Core or a Core i7-i3-660UM 380UM. Finally, the new NEC LaVie Light netbook looks like the series, with entry level features: 10.1-inch display with 1366 × 768p always, 2 GB RAM, 320 GB hard drive and Intel Atom processor N550.
Nothing official has been notified about the availability and price in the West.
