Despite being the first and least [graphically] powerful Mario platformer (I don't count Donkey Kong or Mario Bros as a Mario platformer) I absolutely adore the original NES game.
It's really amazing to go back and see how awful and simple a lot of NES games were. Yet despite the system's limitations, this game proved that simple games can have an enormousness amount of depth if you dig deep.
It's also one of the more challenging Mario games around. I think it has one of most perfect balances of gameplay as well. It's not insanely hard, but it's no cakewalk either. Very moderate middle ground, but the last world will test your skill as a gamer.
Plus it's a game you can keep going back to again and again and again. I'll be playing this one until they wheel me off to the old folks home.

I've heard how bad this game really was for a LONG time, but never got a chance to really take a ride on the Stinkville Express myself. The most ironic thing about the game is that it's actually made by Nintendo.
The game isn't really broken or anything, the word we're looking for here is "shallow." Imagine a fighting mini-game they often put into other genres to "mix things up" and what not. That's basically what Urban Champion is like.
It's just Random Dude vs. Random Guy with generic punches for a long period of time. You're suppose to hit your opponent in the manhole or something.
But even after you do that, the game keeps going on and on and on. I can't believe people bought this game so many years ago for $50 or more. Such a shame.

I love my Jeopardy games apparently. Had to try out the old Sega Game Gear version of the classic game show.
The graphics are quite a bit better than the NES version, even though it looks like I'm playing as Willie Tanner from ALF. There's only one other contestant though, whether you're facing the CPU or a human. The sound is also horrid when they try to put in verbal sound clips from the show itself. The Sega Game Gear was not powerful enough for that.
While the game-play moves a bit slow, and the questions are dated (of course) I liked most of the answers that they asked. Decent mix up on the categories, even though I stink at a few of them.
In short, it's really not a bad version. Could be better, but I could hope all day and never get anything. If you're a Jeopardy! fan I'd give it some consideration.

The first game had to be in there, despite looking the worst graphically (except maybe 2) it holds up pretty well everywhere else.
NES games usually were very little games with little depth at all. That's why they were so hard, because the tough challenge masked the fact that the game would only take 20 mins to beat if you were using cheat codes. However Zelda had a huge over-world, and it wasn't really hard when it came to combat, but rather with the puzzles. Beat the first game in 20 mins and I'll give you all the money in the world.
The dungeons were so extensively detailed and intelligently designed. Ignore the 8-bit blocks, there's art beneath the surface.
Even the bosses were pretty damn good. Most of them might not par some of the recent 3D games, but for the power of the NES this was leap and bounds above everything else.

The old game Double Dragon II: The Revenge is coming to Xbox Live Arcade in a new remake called Double Dragon II: Wander of the Dragons. A new combo system is in the works, and new artwork as well. It will come out with the price tag of $15.

I've heard this game was pretty bad, and I wouldn't doubt it. Movie games usually suck pretty bad, but hey let's give it a try.
You start out by walking out on the street with the ability to punch and kick. There's guys in trash cans shooting at you, and random thugs on every corner. Peak-a-boo!
After being violated I presume, Arnold wakes up and beats the crap out of the random midgets that hang around corners.
And if that wasn't enough, even the police are after your ass.
This game is gigantic turd. It's not fun, frustrating, and you'll never be back. And that's the wrong fucking movie.

I've played many versions of the classic game show in video game form, but the NES version had me interested.
It's definitely very faithful to the show, pretty much on the spot.
The questions are decent, even though they are pretty fucking old.
It's really not that bad of a game. Supports multiplayer, and is a decent experience especially for the NES.

I've heard bad things over the years about this game, but hey I'm a Simpsons fan, and I'm willing to try a few things out.
The game is basically just a slump of mini-games ranging from trivia to actual levels with "real" gameplay. I really liked the trivia section in it's blue glory.
Memory cards was alright.
However the actual levels control and play like ass. Bart Simpson merely jumps around like a retard shooting balls at people walking by. After randomly jumping off the ship, I managed to figure out the controls, and easily got passed the level in about a minute.
I liked the idea of the skateboard stage, however it's too long and hard for it's own good. I either got hit by the wall, jumped into a Chinese man, or fell to my death. I don't think the Great Wall of China has dragons, or pits of death. I bascially got stuck right here, without any motivation to progress any further. Maybe not the worst game in history, but there have been far better games based on my favorite TV show.

We knew it here as the Nintendo Entertainment System or NES for short.
However it's original Japanese counterpart is called the Family Computer or Famicom for short.
Even had volume levels on the controller and microphone.
It even had an add-on disc system for games too large for the carts like The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and Castlevania.

Despite being the worst of the NES Megaman games, I still managed to enjoy this game a lot.
Fuck I like YamatoMan, and CentaurMan, yeah I said it.
Decent level design I might add too. Sure it may not be the epically created Megaman 2, but hey I enjoyed it as a good Megaman game.
